Safety First

Parents please be advised that we currently have a police officer

patrolling at the corner of Andrea Blvd. and Diablo Dr.

Hopefully this will ease some of the traffic issues.

Reminders:    Please use the student drop off zone accordingly.

This is NOT a parking area. When parents park in the student drop off zone,

this causes traffic issues in front of the school.

In addition, please do not block the driveways of our neighboring homes.

Your car can be prone to being towed by the homeowners request.

SAMI Circuit

is HERE!

 Thursday, August 17th

Parents please remember to dress your children accordingly.

Closed toe shoe preferred (tennis shoes).

No sandals, no open toe shoes

Remember to bring a water bottle.

Show Your School Spirit

We have a limited number of school t shirts that are available in two colors: purple and dark green. They are available in the office for $7.00 each. Pick one up and wear it to show your school pride and spirit.

News

On Monday, Aug. 21 our region will experience a partial solar eclipse which will peak at 10:17 a.m. Although this is a spectacular event to witness, safety for you and our students is of paramount importance. Looking at the sun for any length of time without protection can result in permanent damage to your eyes. The only safe way to look directly at the sun or partially eclipsed sun is through special-purpose solar filters, such as "eclipse glasses" or handheld solar viewers. Homemade filters or ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun; they transmit thousands of times too much sunlight.

Please view NASA's flyer regarding the eclipse for more viewing and safety tips.

Twin Rivers parents and guardians will soon receive the results of the rigorous computer-based tests students took last spring. The district will mail individual student score reports by late August.

Preparing for the release of the reports, the California Department of Education has produced a video that will help you understand your child's score report. We encourage families to contact their school principal if they have any questions.
