What Is A.S.E.S.?
Foothill Oaks’ After School Education and Safety (ASES) program is operated and staffed by the Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center (SCCSC.) It is committed to a holistic child-approach during after school, ensuring each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, challenged and sustained.
After school culture supports and reinforces the health and well-being of each student by addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and social dimensions of health. We collaborate with parents and the local community to promote health and well-being.
After school learning occurs in a friendly student-centered environment that is physically and emotionally safe for students and families.
After school activities are actively engaged in learning by connecting the school to the broader community. Students have access to a range of experiences that reflect student interest and goals such as field trips, outreach projects options and choices for a wide array of extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
ASES welcomes families as partners by using a variety of methods across languages and cultures to communicate goals, activities and opportunities for students.
ASES prepares students to participate in a global environment by developing and providing opportunities for critical thinking and reasoning skills, problem solving competencies, and technology proficiency.
ASES implements a whole child approach using collaboration, coordination, and integration to ensure long term success.
The program runs Monday through Friday from 3:12 PM to 6:00 PM.
Students should be picked up by 6:00 PM.
Parents MUST sign the student out with ASES staff.
