Mission & Vision

Mission

We are committed to being lifelong learners striving to be the best!

Vision

Our vision is one in which the staff, community and students work together to encourage responsibility, integrity and an enthusiasm for learning. We truly believe that "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" as we all work together to make decisions that are good for children. There are high expectations for academic achievement coupled with a school wide effort to support all children who are not meeting standards. Parent involvement is high and the culture at Foothill Oaks is positive and productive.

2016 Jog A Thon

Many GREAT, BIG thanks to everyone who have helped to make this year's Jog A Thon a successful fundraising event for our school.

  • Ms. Scantlebury's and Ms. Haycox's classes raised the most money and earned a root beer float party.
  •  Ariana K. in Mrs. Evans' class and Kendal R. in Ms. Haycox's class brought in the most money (per student).

Congrats to the following students who ran the most laps.

  • Jaydyn H. ( Mrs. Marsh) and Domonic G. (Ms. Scantlebury) both ran 31 laps.
  • Aleksandr B. (Mrs. Brown) completed 40 laps.

EVERY MINUTE COUNTS!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our teachers carefully plan their instructions to maximize the students learning throughout the day.  Every minute of the day is extremely important.  During the first few minutes of each day, morning announcements and the flag salute occur.  During the last few minutes of each day, teachers review the concepts learned and preview homework to ensure full and clear understanding from their students.  When students arrive late or leave early, they miss out on this crucial part of learning.

We understand, though, that there are times when doctors’ appointments must be scheduled or when emergencies arise.

Thank you for working with us to ensure that your child gets the best education possible.

Every minute counts!

Pacific Career and Technology High School has earned the distinction of a California Department of Education (CDE) 2016 Model Continuation High School.

“I’m excited for all the staff, who are doing everything possible to provide every opportunity for our students to be successful in every way,” says Site Administrator Shane Yang. “From teachers to custodians, office staff, and our campus safety specialist, who have a strong rapport will all students, motivating them to give their best every day and not give up.”

Pacific High is a continuation high school, meeting the needs of 120 students who are behind in graduation requirements and are at risk of not graduating. The school will retain its title of Model Continuation High School for three years and will be recognized at a state conference in May.
